Simple Pleasures

I have been working on this quilt for nearly one month and cannot believe how quick it has come together.  I started sewing the stitches when I first received the book from Nat for one of my birthdays.  I forgot the colour I was using and used a different colour and then I lost all motivation to complete it.

With a visit from Kylie and a sale at Nellie's my motivation was rekindled.

One of my simple pleasures is seeing the blocks all finished

organising them into the quilt arrangment seen here.

Joining them together to make the quilt top.

Sewing on the first border, triangles and final border.

I am so loving how this wall hanging is coming together.
Tomorrow I am going to complete all sides, I wanted to see how it was going to look so I completed one side for now.

Thank you Nat for giving me the pattern a few years ago when the pattern was release, thank you Kylie for visiting and thank you Nellie's for having a sale.

Until next time......

  3. I know this post is delayed, Simone, but I just LOVE this. I have the book too, and am thinking of making the quilt. I have made a few projects using the stitcheries, but golly your quilt tempts me to make it myself! Your use of spots is just darling, making a very happy quilt...
