Oh what a night.

I am so happy after an amazing weekend away with great friends and like minded ladies.

Yesterday began with a yummy breakfast at Spoons overlooking the Murray river in Swan Hill. Yummy breakie burger.

After a quick trip to the shops Ange and I headed to the Nyah hall for the day and night of sewing. Michelle from Daisy Hill Quilts and her gorgeous mum catered the day. Oh my goodness there was so much food.

During the way we were all given a pack of fabric pieces and were given directions from Michelle.

Everyone was given 6 fabric pieces 2 1/2 inch by 5.
We had to sew these together at the small edge.
The fabric was folded in half.
Pressed.
Opened it up Ironed some stiffening to the back.
Folded the edges to the centre and in half.
This wAs threaded through a claw clasp.
With two lines of stitching one closing the open edge and the other to finish it off.

We all came away with a lanyard.
Indeed four with one being a surprise. It was great to see Nat searching for her kissing fabric to discover it wrapped up in her quilt completed.

More pictures will be posted during the week.

I'm so glad you traveled all that way too....
I bet you slept well when you got home.
And I think you sewed the most as well.....you actually started something and finished it too.
