Best Friends Forever

Tonight I joined up with some of the ladies on the BFF Facebook group and stitched more of my BFF instalment one.

This week I finished the teapot and satin stitch flower.

At this rate I might finish in two years time. At this stage my Tuesday night is dedicated to BFF.

Sewing this block evoked a special memory.
When I lived in Balranald, Saturday mornings were dedicated to going down to the bakery for breakfast with my BFF. (We gave been friends for about 11 years!)
It was a great end of the week ritual. After breakfast we  walked the street dropping in to shops that were open.
We would meet up again after lunch for sewing sessions.

Mmmmm haven't been back to Balranald since January and was hoping to get there this past weekend but unfortunately it didn't happen.

Need to go soon.

  1. Sounds like a really fun FB group to be in. Love your pretty stitchery and it doesn't matter if it takes years to complete.

  2. Your block look s lovely Simone. Love your BFF story. Sharyn:)

  3. Your block looks great Simone. The satin stitch flower has come up nicely.

  4. Are you able to share the fb page I am about to start this too.

  5. If taking 2 years to complete it brings up lovely memories then that is good!!! So nice to have memories of special people and happenings. your block is lovely.

  6. Yes you do!!! Visit me soon too

  7. Great stitching, and I love the sound of that Saturday morning ritual.
