A great day's effort ...

Had a great day out today very productive day.

Went to a friend's property and spent the day working in her studio.

I took along my Friendship Challenge Quilt fabric with the intention of using her mat and cutting out 4 inch squares making half sqaure triangle blocks.

I couldn't believe it when I was showed some new rulers that made making the half square triangle units much easier.

All I had to do was lay the fabric rights sides together, cut a 45 degree angle, and then cut the strip of fabric I needed.  I then sewed both edges of the strip and then used the ruler that is designed for cutting triangles and I then all I had to do was undo four stitches from the top of the triangle.  After opening the triangles, pressing this unit flat I had half square triangle units.

I was able to make 130 in just a few hours.
Below are the ones I have made.

This the fabric Kylie chose.

I am still not sure if I am going to use all of these or how I am going to use them but time will tell.
