Friends.....

It has been a week since my last post. I have had an eventful week with three days in Sydney staying at the gorgeous Sebal Suites in Chatswood.  While this trip was not for pleasure, it was for work, it was a welcome break from the office.
I experienced going over the Blue Mountains and dining at Leura at a gorgeous cafe.  The weather was not favourable, but it did clear up once the misty rain disappeared, when we were about to leave.
I ate a tavern in Chatswood and then at an Italian restaurant at Crows Nest.

The two day meetings I attended in Sydney were most informative, not all I have to do is attend another 2 day meeting in Wagga Wagga mid August.  Looking forward to catching up with the participants again.

Soccer on Saturday was successful for both Candice and Bridie.  Candice's team was 3-1 and Bridie won 6-5.  Excitement was well and truly alive.

Bridie spent the night at a friends on Saturday night, Talia went to her friends on Friday night.

Today I travelled to Caragabal, NSW to attend the final day of a 3 day sewing retreat.  I got up bright and early and swung in to McDonalds for a delicious Mocha coffee and then travelled West.  I was greeted with Banana Bread and a coffee and then I proceeded to continue cutting out my squares for my Friendship Challenge.

I decided to put together one block to see how it looks.  I discovered that the half sqaure triangles I had put together were 1/2 inch too big.  So after trimming then back I was able to put together a sqaure.  Liking what I produced I put together another two before I got the phone call, 'Mummy when are you coming home.'  So I had to get back in the car and travel home.

I had a great time and I am having trouble uploading the images but as soon as I can you will see the result of a days sewing with my Facebook friends.
