Scream ahhhhhhhh

This morning I woke to an ear piercing shrill scream... sounds like some horror movie!

It rained most of the night and when the sound and light show happened it was a rumble.. but then there was a huge clap of thunder and this is when the scream and thundering footsteps entered my room.  Is it an earthquake!!!! Where is grandma and grandpa - oh they are not here!  My goodness it was 5.20am and I had to wake at 630 to ensure Candice was up in time for work.  Not a good start to the day.

Spent yesterday cleaning up, not that it looks like it now!  I also entertained Mary-Ellen and Kath over lunch, well they bought the lunch I provided the cutlery and the cuppa!!!

After they left I thought I would make my This and That bag.  I bought this pattern back in May from The Home Patch, it is a Hatched and Patched pattern.  The fabric I bought from Cobar quilt shop on one of my trips out west.  Well I managed to finish it by 11pm last night.  I think the handles are a bit short but that is okay.  I didn't use buttons to attach my handles, might sew some on later as I didn't have any.  I am really happy with the result It will be great when I go to work and have my large work bag this bag can sit inside the bag and can be used when I go out of the office without needing my large bag.  There are two pockets inside, one for mobile and the other for keys!

My flowers from the lovely girls I work with are beginning to open.  It has been wonderful to be home to watch them bloom.

I had 10 buds and now have 7 open.  Two were green and are slowly changing colours.

I am heading to Orange in the next couple of weeks to find a doctor.  Living here in Forbes doctors are hard to get in to, 3-6 month waiting lists are most common.  I have a name of one so I will make an appointment and get checked out!  It has been a while since I have been so it needs to happen.

Now what to do today.....  hmmmmm already been down the street and bought Bridie some new sneakers, this week has been the shoe purchase week. School shoes for Talia and Bridie, sneakers for Candice (she paid half thank goodness hers were very dear!) and sneakers for Bridie (a more reasonable price!)

I am still undecided as to what I am going to but I am thinking I need to finish my Down in the Garden block... trace out my Christmas table topper... sew my Tis the Season blocks which I have traced.  (I was not part of the Quilt a Long but love checking to see how things are going and to find inspiration)

Mmm the patchwork shop shuts soon so I best think quickly... First some caffeine!

Happy Stitching...
