Productive Saturday

After having a very busy week at work I was able to spend some time relaxing at home today.
The day began with a Maccas run at 5.45am to drop Candice to work.

I came home had a coffee, slept a little then at 7.30am I fired up the lawnmower.  Yes it was early but the neighbours I have are not quiet on week nights so I just though they wouldn't mind an early wake up call.  They often provide us with entertainment until midnight during the week!

After mowing Bridie and I went down town for breakfast, we picked up Talia and went to get Talia some shoes for the deb ball, spent a huge $8.00 on some sandals. (bargain)

We also hired some movies from the video shop and then went out to the Condobolin turn off to buy some huge peaches... mmm these are the best.

So while we were watching Footloose I managed to complete my star and add some background pieces just to see how they went together.  I like how it is looking.

I then thought I would cut out my final borders for my Tis the Season quilt.  This quilt was part of a stitch-a-long, which I was not involved in but I loved the quilt just the same.  I am expecting a visit from Wanda tomorrow so I am hoping she will help me with quilting ideas.

Here is the completed quilt top...  the little legs behind belong to Bridie.  Will take a closer picture when it is all complete.

I am going to work on my Truly Scrumptious block tonight as I watch 'whatever' is on TV tonight.

Enjoy the remaining day/s of your weekend...

Until next time.. happy stitching..
