Reading....

Second to sewing is reading for enjoyment.
For the past 4 years I have spent many hours reading for assignments.  Yesterday marked the end of assignment writing for I hope a number of years.  I was excited to get my final assignment in the mail yesterday and see that I passed.

Now my reading can be for enjoyment.  I have downloaded some books onto my iPad.  It is going to great having a portable book.

Over lunch today I managed to get a vine and some leaves stitched, Down in the Garden is taking some time to complete.  It is great to sit in the staffroom with the girls, one knitting, myself sewing and the others chatting away.  Such a vast array of professionals in the one room, love it!

I have not made much progress on my Butterfly Fling quilt, still have 2 rows to stitch together.  My parents leave tomorrow so I am going to spend tomorrow night at the machine, hoping to get it done for when  Miss 9 comes home on Saturday.  It has been so quiet but the two girls are being missed.

It shows great dedication to your work, you should be pleased with yourself for passing and I wish you the best for whatever the assignments were for (: what books did you download onto your iPad? I need some new reading material- just finished Jodi Picoult's 'sing you home' a beautifully written story.
