Holidays.... time for family

Firstly Happy New Year everyone!

Well I have been a little busy this past week.
New Years Day began with an early start 6am and a trip to Sydney, NSW.  We met up with my cousins in Sadlier and travelled to the train station to catch the train in to the city.  We had a great trip in and got off at central station and caught the light rail train to Jupiter's Casino. The girls, mum and I went to see Annie musical at the Lyric theatre at the casino.

Oh my goodness it was fantastic.  Th girls had never been to a stage show before and really enjoyed themselves.  Although it would have been easy not to with Anthony Warlow, Todd McKenney, Alan Jones as part of  the lead actors.  I often had goosebumps as the music was great.

After the show we went for a ride on the monorail, heading to ChinaTown for lunch.

Before riding the monorail Candice was sick.  Here is Bridie, my cousins children Tobey and Charlotte, and Candice.
We had a delicious afternoon meal at a eatery in ChinaTown.  Yummo!!!

We went back to my cousins for the night.

The next day we went to Stocklands shopping centre and met up with my aunty and nan.  We shopped and shopped and shopped.  The girls spent time in a personal photo shoot in the changerooms of one of the shops.
Talia is catching up to Candice in height, who knows she might overtake her.

Talia got a dress for Candice's deb ball in March.

When we got back to Canberra I went up to the local craft shop Crafty Frog and bought some wool.  It is the netting kind, I made a scarf in one night.

While here I have finished stitching all of my Tis the Season blocks.  I have also nearly completed one block of my Truly Scruptious Block.

I have spend some time reading a book on my  iphone.  Now I have to upload another book to it.

Next Sunday I am off to see Michelle, Ange and Nat.  I am looking forward to seeing them all.

Until next time, Happy Sewing...
