Feeling the love.....

Today I have had a number of very kind ladies visit my blog and make comments.  This was instigated by a gorgeous lady called Peg, you can read her blog HERE.  I love reading Peg's blog each morning before I head to work, if I don't have time I read not long after I come home from work. Peg only lives a few towns away heading towards Dubbo so who knows one day our paths might cross.

On Tuesday I had 15 minutes left on my lunch break when I realised I needed to head over to my local patchwork shop to get some fabric for the small border for my Tis the Season quilt.  I didn't have any cash so I had to buy at least $10 worth of fabric.  I headed to the sale box and found some fabric I liked... Here is what I bought this trip.
The green down the bottom will be my first border.. It is much brighter than the photo shows.

I have been quite busy at work this week but I have been able to slow down at night and pick up some sewing.

I was talking to my good friend Kylie via text messages.  We both have iphones so the cost is nil!
I finished by second rose star EPP and have begun my third one.  We, Kylie and I, decided that the background for this quilt should be a grey so now I am on the hunt for some grey fabric for the background and backing!
Here is my finished star...

I am keeping the middle hexagon the same all through my rose stars...   I was playing with the fabric around my centre. Kylie liked the look of this....

Then I chose all the other fabrics to create the star.

I am delayed in putting this together as I need some more glue for my glue pen...  I am off to order some..

Until next time... Happy Sewing...
