Friendship Garden Quilt

This weekend I begin stutching this block.  I have finished it.

I definately won't be doing the next block as quick.  What with University starting up and full time work and lots of travel.  It is a shame that you can't sew on the plane as I am sure that would be a great place to sew as much of my time will be up in the air or waiting at the airport.

I love this block.  It is shame that these blocks won't count to OPAM finishes as the quilt is not my repsonsibility.  Must check this one!

  1. It is just lovely Smone. What a lot of work and you finished so fast. Sounds like you're going to be very busy. Sharyn:)

  2. First block looks lovely. Check out whether you can sew on the plane, just can't take scissors I think. You could precut your threads ahead of time, put your scissors in your suitcase. Hugs......

  4. Lovely stitchery Simone. You can sew on a plane. Get one of those Clover thread cutters (I think it's Clover). The blade is hidden inside cut outs of the metal so there are no pointy blades. I have done it before with no problems.

  5. The block looks lovely. Yes I have stitched at air-ports and flying. I use the clover thread cutter as described by Christine.
