OMG I feel so much love from a gorgeous lady I have not even met.
Kathy from Sew Happy House hosted a swap and not being too familiar with swaps I decided to have a go and join up. I am so glad I did. I was paired up with the gorgeous Leanne.
Today I received my parcel from Leanne, it is so exciting to get parcels as it doesn't happen often. Bridie wanted me to open it as soon as I walked in the door. I just had to!
I found a lovely note from Leanne along with a wrapped gift.
After reading the note I opened the parcel. OMG I feel the frienship! This is what Leanne made for me! A friendship wall hanging. The stitches are so small and neat, the fabrics are devine!
I also was given some gorgeous charm squares. I love the colours in the range and look forward to using them in a project very soon. All ideas are welcome!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Leanne for the gorgeous gifts and thank you Kathy for hosting such a fabulous swap! I will be in the look out for future swaps.
Tonight I finished the binding on one of my Jelly Roll quilt. Those final stitches are amazing to do! Can't wait to get the second quilt quilted and ready to bind!
I love my Aldi coffee machine and Kylie went shopping for me and sent me a parcel of a variety of coffees. Yummmooo I am so spoilt.
Thank God for the gift of friends seen, unseen, near and far!
Until next time...

Friends with Benefits Swap
Back at the beginning of March I signed up to the Friends with Benefits Swap. I was keen to be a part of the swap as friends are everything and quilting friends are the best.
I was partnered with a the wonderful Leanne. I jumped the gun a little and sent off my parcel to Leanne last eek! She got it in the mail today and she said she loved what I had sent. Sorry Kylie you can't have it I believe Leanne is keeping it all.
Now that the parcel has arrived I can post a picture of what I made.
I stitched a mini wall hanging.
I also made a zipper purse.
Thank you Kathy for hosting a wonderful swap.
Until next time.....

Surprise package in the post
My daughter collected the mail from the mailman with great excitement. She handed over the mail and tole me there was a parcel in there for me!
Here was a yellow envelope with the stamp from Sew-Happy House on the back. This was such a surprise.
I opened the envelope to see this gorgeous pattern and a tag that read, 'Congratulations Simone enjoy!' I had no idea why I was receiving this wonderful gift.
I knew that Kathy was going to have give-aways throughout the Friends with Benefits swap.
I popped over to visit Sew-Happy House site and found the post announcing I was a winner. I couldn't believe it. Thank you Kathy for choosing me and thank you to Make it Perfect for the incredible pattern. Now to find some material!
Until next time...( I am going fabric shopping!)

Friends with Benefits swap and swollen rivers
Today I got my swap partner for Friends with Benefits swap.
My swap partner is the gorgeous Leanne. Check out her blog she is quite a talented lady.
I have begun thinking about what I would love to make Leanne and have some ideas brewing.
Today has been quite harrowing for some residents of Forbes with the threat of the river peaking on Tuesday morning causing havoc at Woolies this morning. I am quite safe as I am up on higher ground, the cupboards are all stocked which is not unusual so we are ready if the town gets divided in half. Candice is in Balranald/Swan Hill atttending an orthodontics appointment and may have to sit tight if she can't get back. School for both her and Talia is closed at the moment with updates sent out via email. Bridie will have minimal supervision at her school but as it is safe for her to attend she is going to attending school.
I have managed to do some sewing today as it has been quite wet underfoot.
I sewed some more iPhone, iPod covers for the school fete which is to be held on March 16th.
Good news!!!! Deb Dress has been collected from the shop and is just beautiful mum said. So all is going to plan...
Off to stitch some more, may join some Rose Stars together just like Michelle.
Until next time.. happy stitching..
