All signed up!
Friday night I join many other crafters over blogland for Friday Night Sew In (FNSI). This fabulous event is hosted by Bobbi and Heidi each month. This month you can join up here. I really enjoyed this event more when my good friend Kylie joined up but she is so busy I am not sure if this will happen this month.
I have the intention to make my girls a lanyard each for their house keys. I am going to make them a little smaller in length then my own.
I also have the intention of making some baby gifts for the November babies that will become part of our Catholic Education Office (CEO) family. I am looking at making Burp bibs and a Nappy Purse. I have a pattern at home for the Burp bib and have googled the pattern for a Nappy Purse.
Now that I have chosen my projects I am now off to gather some materials.

Oh what a night.
I am so happy after an amazing weekend away with great friends and like minded ladies.
Yesterday began with a yummy breakfast at Spoons overlooking the Murray river in Swan Hill. Yummy breakie burger.
After a quick trip to the shops Ange and I headed to the Nyah hall for the day and night of sewing. Michelle from Daisy Hill Quilts and her gorgeous mum catered the day. Oh my goodness there was so much food.
During the way we were all given a pack of fabric pieces and were given directions from Michelle.
Everyone was given 6 fabric pieces 2 1/2 inch by 5.
We had to sew these together at the small edge.
The fabric was folded in half.
Pressed.
Opened it up Ironed some stiffening to the back.
Folded the edges to the centre and in half.
This wAs threaded through a claw clasp.
With two lines of stitching one closing the open edge and the other to finish it off.
We all came away with a lanyard.
Indeed four with one being a surprise. It was great to see Nat searching for her kissing fabric to discover it wrapped up in her quilt completed.
More pictures will be posted during the week.
