Four more sleeps. Happy news.

Until I travel to Bathurst for the weekend. I get to meet bloggers and spend the weekend doing what we all love sewing, eating, shopping etc.

I am new to this group and will be looking forward to catching up with Kerrie and Dorothy and then meeting all of the other ladies.

I am undecided as to what I am taking but I think some UFOs both machine and hand work.

GOOD NEWS.
I passed the unit I was studying. Much better results then thought. Now only three units to go and the degree is complete.

Since finishing I have been able to work on my sewing.

For a while now I have been working on an arm chair caddy which was part of the package from Indulge in Stitcjes held in the Barossa Valley hosted by A Country Hart.

I am up to binding it all together.

This week I will be putting the finishing touches on my items for the Santa Sack Swap.

Will post some finished items during the week.

FNWF

Last night I joined in with many other ladies for a sewing evening.

I finished sewing down the binding if a mini quilt.

I also finished stitching the word in my priject from Indulge in Stitches. I even started in the stems of the flowers.

Had a great night. Thanks Cheryll for hosting this event.

Today I am playing the Go cutter. 1/2 square triangles. I need 200 plus for a quilt I am making for a friend who will be a Grandmother in October.

Updates later

Chookys Shed 2nd birthday update

I was able to do some stitching over the weekend.

Before I sat down to sew I took my youngest to Parkes NSW.
She played a good game. The team lost 3-2. Bridie is playing in the U 12 boys competition as there are not enough boys and girls to make separate teams for Forbes.

So....
When I got home I started stitching this banner.

I button hole stitched around each letter and have put it away to quilt later on.

I also worked on one of my projects from Indulge in stitches

This is Gail Pans new fabric range!
Love it.

Thanks for the party Chooky. I had another great weekend of sewing.

Barossa Valley Day 1 and 2

One word that describes the last five days. FANTASTIC!!!!

This is a photograph of the Kms I have travelled since Thursday today is Tuesday.

Yes!  I did travel these 2000 plus Kms over five days, passing through three states, NSW, Victoria and South Australia.

I stopped the night at Kylie's (addicted to quilting) and together we drive over the border

To the Tanunda caravan park.

As we pulled up to book in  a friendly voice called out.  It was Bill!! I really couldn't hear what he was saying so I rang!

It was great to see Ange and Bill, I generally stay with them when I return to Balranald.

This is the cabin we stayed in with Kylie and Bill and Angela stayed next door.

That night we went to one of the local pubs to have a meal. Oh my goodness the meal was great.
I had a reef and beef delicious. Thanks Bill for paying.

Being in the Barossa I really wanted to go to a winery but this didn't happen. I certainly made sure I bought some local wine. I chose GRANT BURGE moscato.
