New patchwork quilt

This past weekend I took advantage of the 40% off sale at Nellies.

I bought some flannel fabric. I need a flannel quilt for me!

I decided the pattern in Book 3 of Vignette was the one I wanted to use.

I have seen one block.
I have cut out another one.
I have also cut the 3 1/2 inch squares.

I am going to have to buy more fabric as I didn't get enough for the top.

Long time ago.

Cannot believe it is Christmas Day tomorrow. What a special gift we were all given, Jesus Christ.
Love this time of year where we can spend time with family because of Jesus.

I have packed a few stitching things for the holidays. I have finished my table topper stitching and pulled out the doilies.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas remembering the true spirit of the season.

The Beginnings of my Vignette Quilt

Today I went to the local patchwork shop after it closed to attend a class.
I spent the time tracing some of the Vignette stitchery borders. I figured if they were traced I might be tempted to stitch them.

I have been working a wall hanging each night and am nearing the end.

I bought the cutest buttons today. They are black with a floral design on them. Can't wait to use them. I am going to add them to my Black and White Bag Swap.

One down

Two more sleeps left until i head back to Balranald to spend the night with my gorgeous friend Ange. Saturday is a planned 12 hour sew-a-thon.

Sewing projects nearly all packed . Show and tell items packed.
Girls all packed too.

So looking forward to the weekend away but am not looking forward to returning home non Sunday, house inspection booked for Monday morning.

Mmm yard won't be mowed. It will be a late night when we return. But not going to worry about that until Sunday.

I have one doily stitching complete and am ready to begin number two.

All that is left for my trip is to pack my bags and the car.

Yay.

Two sleeps

Effort for Monday

Not much sewing tonight. I am so cold and having trouble getting warm

It definitely was warmer at 630 as I set off for a walk.

Surprisingly I am just now feeling the effects of an early start.

Tonight I finished one flower.

Tomorrow I am packing the kids up as they are heading to their Aunty and uncles for two nights on the weekend. I am off to a twelve hour sewing session with some near and dear friends. Five sleeps!

Productive day

After not getting out of bed until ten I must say my day has been jam packed.

The trees lining the back fence restrict the spinning of the clothesline so today Bridie and I chopped most of them down. Now the line can rotate freely on the wind

All washing and ironing is up to date.

Talia has moved her clothes into Candice's room (Candice is no longer living at home and has been gone for over two months now).
Bridie was able to organize her drawers of clothes too.

The weekly shopping has taken place. Food organised until Thursday night.

Tuna patties were prepared ahead of time.

Packing has begun for the weekend away. Fabric and some finished products are ready for show and tell.

Tonight I am going to work on my doilies. This is what is in my hoop and what I gave done this evening.
